I am of the age where my annual visit to my doctor ends with a bunch of follow up visits to specialists. This time, one of the specialists I was referred to was a dermatologist. This was my first visit to have the full body once-over to check my skin. I have a lot of moles, so that is something to monitor.
The dermatologist was the first doctor to ever introduce himself to me by his first name. I liked that, and told him so. He started his exploration, checking out my head – the first place, he explained, that might show indications of skin changes. Everything appeared to be looking very good. Then, he went on to the rest of my body. I asked him about a few areas of concern, only to hear him dismiss a few “barnacles!”
Mike continued his review of my body, remarking that everything was looking very good. Then, he paused and said, “I may have spoken too soon.”
A spot on my back gave him concern. It needed to be biopsied. He explained that the test results would indicate whether the area needed to be excised. Days later, the results were in, and I made the appointment for the procedure. The appointment scheduler – who could only book me out several months! – assured me it wasn’t cancer. This, however, did not quell my alarm.
So, what did I do? Well, the first thing I did was look up the medical description of the test results. From there, I researched melanoma. Then, I looked into what essential oils are healing agents for skin cancer.
My research led me to: frankincense essential oil. Frankincense essential oil was consistently the first and primary essential oil for addressing every form of skin cancer. This was comforting to me because my main line of Sheeperfect® Face and Body Cleanser (Always) uses frankincense as the primary essential oil. Since this is the product I use every morning and evening, it gave me a strange sense of relief. Frankincense essential oil is also included in the Skin for Men bar. [Insider secret: Skin for Men is soon to be renamed the MAN BAR.]
Frankincense is lauded for its strong healing properties, and plays a central role in alternative therapy treatments for skin cancer. And since frankincense has special significance from a biblical perspective, my Christmas Extravaganza will include special essential oil combinations including frankincense, myrrh, and other Christmas blends only for the event (or by special order).
Hopefully, with my improved skin care using Sheeperfect® products, and, of course, avoiding sun exposure, my skin will find its way to increasingly good health. I wish the same for you, too.
